Jill Johnson
While growing up in Springfield, Oregon, Jill was involved in various aspects of musical performance, but vocal music emerged as her true passion.
It was a college career ending knee injury that spurred her departure from the basketball court and into the music department where she was awarded a talent grant and performed in a jazz ensemble. During this time she sang the lead role in Los Angeles film composer and script writer Josh Johnson’s debut musical. She went on to become a member of the Oregon State University Chamber Choir under the directorship of Dr. Steven Zielke and graduated Magna Cum Laude from OSU with a B.S. in Environmental Science/Atmospheric Processes. She also holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Oregon and works as a math and science teacher. |
