Luke MacSween

Luke MacSween is in his 14th year as the choral director at Bend Senior High School where he manages 4 ensembles, consisting of over 200 students. He has also served as the early service music director at Nativity Lutheran Church for the last 5 years. Luke earned his Master of Music in 2008, and Bachelor of Music in 2000 from the University of Oregon.

Luke has recently performed with University of Oregon’s On the Rocks, the Cascade Chorale, Meistersingers, and the Bend Camerata (which he also co-founded). His high school ensembles have won dozens of ACDA gold awards, a Grammy signature schools enterprise award and regularly place in the top 5 of many prestigious contests throughout Oregon and the west coast including the OSAA State Choral contest, Mt. Hood Vocal Jazz Festival, Reno Jazz Festival, Heritage festivals, and the IMC Choir Festival.

Luke resides in Bend with his wife Tara and his two sons, Ian and Gabriel.
