With a voice described as a “clarion call”, Megan Huckabay Lapp has offered her talents to many West Coast performances and more recently in Saudi Arabia and Cleveland, OH. As the soprano soloist for the Vancouver Cantata Singers, she was featured in works ranging from Bach cantatas to Brazilian song. Solo performances include a five concert tour with the Canada West Chamber Ensemble where Ms. Huckabay Lapp was the featured soloist in Handel’s Gloria. She has also sung with Quire Cleveland and is a featured soloist on numerous recordings. Originally from Lethbridge, AB, Canada,
Ms Huckabay Lapp completed her B.Mus. and B.Ed. at the University of Victoria, BC, and M.Mus. at the University of Washington, Seattle. Inspired by the power of singing to unite communities and build confidence in young people, she has taught choral music at the elementary, secondary, and collegiate levels. Megan has studied with Ellen Hargis at Case Western Reserve University and Kendra Colton at Oberlin Conservatory.
